Swedish born director Arvid Eriksson has developed a unique tone of voice in his commercials, short films and promos. With an extensive knowledge of post production and an innate feeling for comic timing and unspoken tension he brings together strong visuals with quirky characters in a dry and rhythmic blend of his own.

Under the umbrella of his own filmmaker-collective Instrument Films he has written and directed several short films which as been nominated and won awards around the world. Arvid has also directed commercials, film trailers, image campaigns, and launches for wide range of broadcasters and corporate clients.

Previous short films Airhead and Matinée were short listed for Bristol’s film festival “DepicT”. Let Go won first price at eMotion in South Korea. Swedish Film Institute funded a blow-up to 35mm of Let Go, which is currently touring the Swedish cinemas. Moreover, the broadcasting rights of Let Go has been sold to Canal Plus in France and Spain and to Channel 5 in Italy.

The British Film Council sponsored him to go to the Berlinale Talent Campus with Woodcutter’s Joy in 2006. Arvid’s most recent film Eradescape is currently being promoted to festivals and for distribution by Vitagraph, Italy.
